Families can choose Mind, Motion, or both. Each side has its own purpose, while ARC provides the structure, standards, and quality oversight that connect the larger student experience.

ASCEND
Advanced Reasoning FrameworkARC draws from the rigor and reasoning demands of New York City's SHSAT—advanced reading, grammar, mathematics, problem solving, pacing, and performance under pressure. We call this framework ASCEND.

Built for professional instruction: qualified Taekwondo instructors and specialists will join the Motion team as ARC grows, with program standards, safety, instructor expectations, and quality overseen through ARC.
The long-term ARC vision: not one person trying to teach everything, but a coordinated team of educators, academic specialists, and Taekwondo professionals working under one consistent standard.

Questions Parents Ask
The details families most often want to know before deciding whether ARC is the right fit.
What subjects does ARC support?
For middle-school students, ARC provides support in English/Language Arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.
Direct instruction includes reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and the middle-school mathematics sequence, including accelerated coursework. Science and social studies support can be incorporated around current school units, assignments, tests, and projects.
For high-school students, direct tutoring is currently available in English, social studies, mathematics, Biology, and PSAT/SAT preparation.
How is ARC different from traditional tutoring?
Immediate coursework matters, but ARC does not stop at tonight's homework.
Instruction can combine school needs with foundational development, organization, study habits, test strategy, and ASCEND.
The goal is to support what a student needs today while steadily preparing for what comes next.
Does every student follow the same program?
No. Students in the same grade can have very different strengths, needs, school demands, learning habits, and long-term goals.
A diagnostic assessment, student interview, parent consultation, and school information help establish each student's starting point and learning priorities.
How is instruction currently delivered?
Private Tutoring is currently available. Sessions combine current coursework with longer-term academic development.
Middle-school private sessions have a 1.5-hour minimum.
When ARC's physical location opens, the planned ARC Classroom will include a Coursework Help Block and an ASCEND Block.
How do you measure progress?
Progress is reviewed through school performance, assessments, assignments, concept mastery, benchmark work, ASCEND performance, and the student's ability to work more independently.
The academic plan can then be adjusted as the student's needs change.
Who will teach and oversee my child?
ARC is a founder-led educational program.
Founder Andy Seo brings 15+ years of experience in education. Students he has taught have gone on to attend specialized high schools including Stuyvesant High School and the Bronx High School of Science.
As ARC grows, qualified professionals will provide specialized instruction in their respective fields. Andy will remain involved in educational direction, student placement, instructional standards, progress review, and overall quality control.
Are there limits to current high-school tutoring?
Yes. ARC currently does not provide direct specialized tutoring for every AP course or advanced high-school science course beyond Biology.
When specialized support outside ARC's current instructional scope is needed, families will be told clearly rather than having a student placed with an instructor who is not the right fit for that subject.
What does private tutoring cost?
Middle School: $70 per hour with a 1.5-hour minimum per session.
High School: private tutoring begins at $90 per hour.
When the ARC Classroom opens, group tuition is currently planned to begin at $325 per month, with semester and school-year options.
How does a student begin?
Every student begins with a free 45-minute diagnostic and consultation.
We look at more than right and wrong answers. The process examines foundational skills, reading comprehension, mathematical reasoning, problem solving, academic habits, and how the student approaches unfamiliar material.
Completing the diagnostic does not obligate a family to enroll.

ASCEND
Advanced Reasoning FrameworkARC는 뉴욕시 Specialized High School 입학시험인 SHSAT가 요구하는 높은 수준의 독해, 문법, 수학적 사고력, 문제 해결력, 시간 관리 및 제한된 시간 안에서의 수행 능력을 하나의 심화 훈련 기준으로 활용합니다. 이 사고력 훈련 체계를 ASCEND라고 합니다.

ARC에서는 어떤 과목을 지도하나요?
중학생은 영어(ELA), 수학, 과학, 사회 등 주요 교과목 전반에 걸쳐 학업 지원을 받을 수 있습니다.
영어는 독해, 문법, 어휘, 글쓰기를 지도하고, 수학은 일반 중학교 과정부터 Accelerated Math 등 상위 과정까지 학생의 수준에 맞춰 진행합니다.

일반적인 과외와 ARC는 무엇이 다른가요?
학교 숙제와 시험 준비도 중요하지만 ARC의 수업은 거기에서 끝나지 않습니다.

모든 학생이 같은 수업을 받나요?
아닙니다. 같은 학년이라도 학생마다 강점, 부족한 부분, 학교 진도, 공부 습관과 목표가 다릅니다.
진단평가, 학생 인터뷰, 학부모 상담 및 학교 정보를 바탕으로 학생의 현재 위치와 학습 우선순위를 정합니다.
현재 수업은 어떻게 진행되나요?
현재는 Private Tutoring | 개인 지도를 진행하고 있습니다.
학교 교과과정과 장기적인 학업 성장을 한 수업 안에서 함께 다루며, 중학생 개인 수업은 1회 최소 1시간 30분입니다.
향후 오프라인 센터가 오픈하면 Coursework Help Block과 ASCEND Block으로 구성된 ARC Classroom 프로그램도 운영할 예정입니다.
학생의 성장은 어떻게 확인하나요?

누가 아이를 지도하고 관리하나요?
ARC는 Founder-led 교육 프로그램입니다.

학생에게 보다 전문적인 과목 지도가 필요한 경우, 무리하게 수업을 진행하기보다 어떤 추가적인 전문 지원이 필요한지 학부모님께 솔직하게 말씀드리는 것을 원칙으로 합니다.
수업료는 어떻게 되나요?
